What God reveals about Himself through the names He answers to
The Old Testament does not introduce God by abstract attributes — it introduces Him by name, and each name is given in a specific moment when His character has to be seen. Elohim creates. Yahweh covenants. El Shaddai sustains. Jehovah-Jireh provides where the knife was already raised. The New Testament names do not replace these — they fulfill them. Kyrios is Yahweh in Greek. Christos is the long-expected Anointed. Abba is the most intimate Aramaic word a Hebrew child could speak.
