Old Testament verbs of moving with God
Halak is the Hebrew verb for walking, and the Old Testament uses it to mean the whole life. Enoch walked with God. Noah walked with God. Derek is the road itself — the way that is chosen. Nagash is to approach. Qarov is to be near. These are not abstract spiritual ideas; they are the physical verbs of moving toward the One who first moved toward us.
